How to customize a Google Form to match your brand

Google Forms is free and reliable, but every form looks the same: purple header, Google fonts, Google footer. Here is how to make yours look like it belongs on your website, without rebuilding it.

What Google Forms lets you change on its own

Inside Google Forms, open the palette icon to pick a header image, one theme color, a background tint and one of a few fonts. That is the whole list. You can't use your brand's exact font, style the buttons or answer choices, change the layout, or remove the Google Forms look.

What you can change with Form Matcher

  • Fonts: Any of the 1,939 Google Fonts, the font your site already uses, or your own font file. Headings and body text can differ.
  • Colors: Exact hex codes for the accent, page and card backgrounds, headings, text, fields, borders and button text.
  • Layout: A card, no card, or two columns. Set the max width, padding and spacing between questions.
  • Fields and choices: Outlined, filled or underlined fields, corner radius, border width, field height, and multiple choice shown as pills, a list or cards.
  • Buttons: Your label, filled, outline or soft styles, pill or square shapes, full width or fit to text.
  • Background: Transparent so your page shows through, solid, gradient or dots, with an optional frosted glass card.
  • Branding: Your logo and business name, an optional cover banner, and no Google Forms header or footer.
  • After submit: Your own thank-you heading and message, or a redirect to any page.
  • Custom CSS: Target .fm-card, .fm-title, .fm-label, .fm-input, .fm-choice and .fm-button.

Step by step

  1. Make sure your form is open to anyone with the link. In Google Forms, open Settings, then Responses, and turn off anything that requires signing in.
  2. Click Send, choose the link tab and copy the link. It starts with forms.gle/ or docs.google.com/forms/.
  3. Go to Form Matcher, paste the link and your website address, and click Match my brand.
  4. Fine-tune anything in the Customize panel. Use Before and After to compare, and Mobile to check phones.
  5. Click Publish for $10. After checkout you get a one-line embed code and a share link.
  6. Paste the code on your site. Responses keep going to your Google Form and its Sheet.

Will it break my Google Form?

No. Form Matcher doesn't copy or change your Google Form. It reads the questions each time the form loads and sends answers straight to Google, so your Sheet, notifications and add-ons keep working. Edit your questions in Google Forms as usual and the branded version updates on its own.

Try it on your form. Paste your Google Form link and website. Preview free, then $10 USD once, no response limits.

Common questions

How do I customize a Google Form?

Paste your Google Form link and your website address into Form Matcher and click Match my brand. We pull your fonts, colors and logo from your site and restyle the form to match. Adjust anything you like, pay $10 USD once, and paste one line of code on your site.

Can I change the font in Google Forms?

Google Forms only offers a few fonts. Form Matcher lets you use any of the 1,939 Google Fonts, the font your website already uses, or your own font file, for headings and body text separately.

Can I use my exact brand colors?

Yes. Set any hex color for the accent, page and card backgrounds, headings, body text, fields, borders and button text. Match my brand fills them in from your website to start.

Can I remove the Google Forms branding?

Your branded form shows your logo, fonts and colors, with no Google Forms header, purple theme or footer. Your original Google Form stays as it is and keeps collecting responses.

Which question types are supported?

Short answer, paragraph, multiple choice, checkboxes, dropdown, linear scale, rating, multiple choice grid, checkbox grid, date, time, and forms with several sections. File-upload questions need a Google sign-in, so they are not supported.

Do I have to rebuild my form?

No. Keep editing your questions in Google Forms as usual. Changes show up in your branded form automatically.
