Form Matcher › Google Forms custom options
Google Forms custom options, explained
People search for a "custom" Google Form and mean different things: a custom theme, a custom font, a custom link, custom CSS. Here is each one, what Google Forms does on its own, and how to get the parts it doesn't.
Custom theme and header image
Built in. Click the palette icon in Google Forms to pick a header image (your own, or one of Google's), a theme color and a background color. Upload a header around 1600 × 400 pixels so it isn't cropped.
Custom colors
Partly built in. Google Forms lets you add your own theme color, but it applies that one color in its own way. To set separate colors for headings, text, fields, borders and buttons, use Form Matcher.
Custom fonts
Partly built in. Google Forms offers a short list of fonts for headers, questions and text. For any of the 1,939 Google Fonts, your website's own font or your brand font file, see how to use any font in Google Forms.
Custom thank-you message
Built in. In Google Forms, open Settings, then Presentation, and edit the Confirmation message.
Custom redirect after submit
Not built in. Google Forms always shows its own confirmation page. With Form Matcher you can send people to any page on your site after they submit.
Custom link or domain
Google gives you a forms.gle short link, but you can't choose the words or use your own domain. The usual fix is to put the form on a page of your own site, like yoursite.com/contact, using an embed. Every Form Matcher form also gets a clean share link.
Custom CSS
Not possible in Google Forms. Form Matcher lets you add your own CSS to the branded version, targeting .fm-card, .fm-title, .fm-label, .fm-input, .fm-choice and .fm-button.
Custom layout and background
Not built in. Form Matcher adds card, no-card and two-column layouts, a max width, transparent or gradient backgrounds and a frosted glass card, so the form blends into your page.
Try it on your form. Paste your Google Form link and website. Preview free, then $10 USD once, no response limits.
Match my brandCommon questions
Can I use my exact brand colors?
Yes. Set any hex color for the accent, page and card backgrounds, headings, body text, fields, borders and button text. Match my brand fills them in from your website to start.
Can I change the font in Google Forms?
Google Forms only offers a few fonts. Form Matcher lets you use any of the 1,939 Google Fonts, the font your website already uses, or your own font file, for headings and body text separately.
Can I send people to my own thank-you page?
Yes. Write your own thank-you heading and message, or redirect people to any page on your site after they submit.
Can I make the form background transparent?
Yes. Make the area behind the form transparent so your page shows through, make the form card itself transparent, or add a frosted glass effect.
How do I embed a Google Form on my website?
Copy the one-line embed code from Form Matcher and paste it where you want the form. It works on WordPress, Squarespace, Wix, Webflow, Shopify, Framer, Carrd and any site that lets you add HTML. There is no iframe, so the form sizes itself to fit.
